Furniture getting worn and torn? Don’t throw it out! There are easy ways to upcycle furniture you already have and turn it into something new.
1. Mason Jar shakers:

The Basics: Make your salt and pepper jars cute and fun! This even works for sugar too — making it easier and smaller than a huge container.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 mason jar and lid
- 1 1-pound cardboard sugar container or a 26-ounce cardboard salt container
- Scissors
- Black marker
- Hot-glue gun
- Acrylic paint and paintbrush (optional)

2. Wine Bottle Vase:

The Basics: Show off your favorite wines and your favorite flowers with this two for one DIY project!
What You’ll Need:
- An empty wine bottle
- Flowers
- Ribbon to tie around the neck/ Sticker for the body of the bottle
3. Mint Cases as Holders
Level of Difficulty: Easy
The Basics: Mint cases like Altoids, or TicTacs are perfect for holding things such as bobby pins, buttons, safety pins, paper blotters — really anything tiny that you could lose easily!

4. Kitchen Stool Turned in Gift Wrap Caddy:
Level of Difficulty: Easy
The Basics: A nice way to store those wrapping paper rolls rather than just throwing them into a closet. And you don’t have to toss that broken stool — just reuse it!
What You’ll Need:
- A Stool
- Paint (optional)

5. Cookie Sheet Memo Boards:
Level of Difficulty: Easy
The Basics: Got old and scuffed up cookie sheets? Don’t toss em out! Use them as magnet boards to put the important things like notes or calendar reminders
What You’ll Need:
- 2 stainless steel cookie sheets (cannot be non-stick)

6. Tin Can Patio Luminaries:

The Basics: Turn those soup cans into nice lights to create a nice vibe on your patio or balcony!

- Mod Podge Outdoor
- Crop-A-Dile Punches in 1/16th and 1/4 inch widths
- 18 Gauge Silver Wire

7. Using an old ladder as a bookshelf

The Basics: Make that old ladder a place to put your books! All you need to do is find a corner in a room and mount it around the corner — then place your books in there!

8. Plastic Bottle Planter:

The Basics: A nice way to recycle your plastic bottles and a way to have some flowers around without the big pots!

9. Coffee Can Planters:

The Basics: Don’t toss out those coffee cans! They can be used as planters or even just buckets for knickknacks.

10. DIY Bottle Cap Candles:

The Basics: Make your own mini candles by using your bottle caps and your favorite candles!
