Furniture getting worn and torn? Don’t throw it out! There are easy ways to upcycle furniture you already have and turn it into something new.

1. Mason Jar shakers:

The Basics: Make your salt and pepper jars cute and fun! This even works for sugar too — making it easier and smaller than a huge container.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 mason jar and lid
  • 1 1-pound cardboard sugar container or a 26-ounce cardboard salt container
  • Scissors

  • Hot-glue gun

2. Wine Bottle Vase:

The Basics: Show off your favorite wines and your favorite flowers with this two for one DIY project!

What You’ll Need:

  • An empty wine bottle
  • Flowers
  • Ribbon to tie around the neck/ Sticker for the body of the bottle

3. Mint Cases as Holders

The Basics: Mint cases like Altoids, or TicTacs are perfect for holding things such as bobby pins, buttons, safety pins, paper blotters — really anything tiny that you could lose easily!

4. Kitchen Stool Turned in Gift Wrap Caddy:

The Basics: A nice way to store those wrapping paper rolls rather than just throwing them into a closet. And you don’t have to toss that broken stool — just reuse it!
