- Make your own cleaning products. Store-bought cleaners can contain some really harsh chemicals, and they can cost a lot of money. Instead, learn how to make your own cleaners with natural products. Start by making an all-purpose cleaning spray by combining water, lemon juice, and baking soda in a spray bottle. Use this to clean counters, bathtubs, or any other hard surface.
- Clean your front door. Even though it’s a part of your home that you constantly use, no one ever thinks to clean their front door. This is a part of your home that guests look at frequently—as they wait for you to find your keys or wait to be left in. Use your all-purpose cleaner on the door itself, then clean the surrounding door frame.
