This past December, MC Companies celebrated their 7th annual MC Companies Employee Retreat at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Arizona.  While celebrating their accomplishments as a company for the year, the primary focus of the Employee Retreat is personal development.  This annual retreat is a reflection of the company culture that MC Companies nurtures – a culture of passion, growth and fun.

Each fall MC Companies employees are given a personal development book to study as a group, which serves as the theme of the retreat.  This year’s book study was on Ego Is the Enemy, by Ryan Holiday.  What makes this Employee Retreat so unique is the focus of the three-day meeting, which is personal development and growth.  “We know that when people spend time on personal development, they are able to thrive in all quadrants of life, so the payoff is a happier and more enlightened company culture” says Ken McElroy, owner of MC Companies.

The spirit of the annual MC Companies Employee Retreat is a direct reflection their company culture, which shines through all of their operations.  Whether it is charitable giving through their employee driven Sharing the Good Life Foundation, or the 2,000 hours of Paid Volunteer Time Off allotted to employees every year, MC strives to foster an environment that encourages employees to be passionate and continue to grow in their personal and professional lives – and have a lot of fun while doing it. “MC Companies’ culture is about doing the right thing whether it be for our investors, employees or the community, so personal development is a natural and important part of fostering this mentality” says company owner Ross McCallister.

MC Companies will be holding their 8th annual Employee Retreat at Mountain Shadows Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona this December, 2019.  While it is impossible to know what will happen in a year, the MC Companies family will continue to be passionate, grow and have fun – together.
